I think the idea is great!!! At least it prevents those bots...somehow. I am glad that A.Net is doing something.

lol, the sad truth is, in there atempts to make it more of a "social game", they've destroyed the comfidence there true followers had in them. in there attempts to make it so more people play insted of farm, there killing the economy of the game. it's having the same effect the american economy (only using it because im there) should they pass a law saying that you cannot do any given job without having atleast 5 other people helping you and shareing the profit. the mods and the other people controling the game are going the way of the george w., there sending the game into a downward spiral of inflated prices along with the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer

In WOW repeatedly resetting an instance can get you banned for an extended period of time, like two weeks would you believe?

The economy of GW needs a lot of work. It should not be necessary to farm as much as most of us do. Try collecting five bleached shells sometime, ooo what fun!

Last I checked it wasn't necessary to farm. The only reason you would farm is for those "leet" golds/greens or looks. Other than that farming is not "necessary".

~sigh~

theyre not discouraging farming, theyre trying to counter bots who continually farm the same area over and over.

Why are you even complaining? how hard is it to go to another area and farm, even if only for 15 minutes, if your so obsessed with farming the same area.

Also, to those of you saying farming is too hard, thats your personal experience, Ive never had to farm a place more than two or three times, when looking for specific materials for armor or whatever. *maybe some of you arent salvaging enough? just a thought)

Here! Here! I tried for quite some time to get those bleached shells to trade the collector for the stance shield. I got a lousy one shell. (I am not talking about carpaces for those who are thinking "I have 20 of those in inventory.") I even spent some time trying to buy them, but that did not even work.

EDIT: On the other hand, leaving hints enabled, lets you know when it's time to move to another area...
I quote the wise Numa, since his message seems more or less ignored in this thread, but this is th eonly true answer. It is simple game mechanics and this message is a help-tip. Like the one:

"you are repeatedly attacking the same creature, try attacking once and see wat happens" or something in this line. Just remember that loot is decreasing if you do this and put off the hints like numa said.

bleached shells are used for collectors items, not "leet" stuff as you put it......

playing the game is not "necessary", I always find that argument so pointless.

I got that message when i was farming trolls

too bad the "loot" I was going for was 504 xp per guy, cant nerf that

I Belive I got after a million xp from trolls alone...

But the reason for this was combating the bot users from over farming a place like Twin Serpent Lakes(outside Riverside Prov.)

I think they are trying to nerf it, and I think they should.

Players shouldn't be allowed to repeatedly kill spawn of monsters to aquire gold.

Ash.

Anyone else notice that this thread is 3 months old?

I remember the first time I saw the pop-up; I had rezoned to kill one of those drakes near Fisherman's Bay about 5 or 6 times.

If they just got rid of all 15K armours, Vigor, Absorbtion, Golden items, Green items, Upgrades, Ectos, Obsidian, FoW and UW then we'd have no reason to farm. Droknors armor is so easy to get, and no one would be worrying about getting any other special runes.

Seriously, this game just gets more ridiculous day after day. Buy money off ebay while you still can, prices will rise. (I am against buying money off ebay, but now I'm starting to wonder... do I have a choice?)
